Strain Origin: Psilocybe cubensis True Albino Teacher was isolated by Shroomery member “Jik Fibs“.  TAT started as an albino Golden Teacher fruit isolated from genetics of the same source that the Wombat TAT came from. These genetics were purchased and grown out completely separately. Unbeknownst to the two growers Jik Fibs and Dave Wombat until later on. Both cultivators found and isolated what are now known as some of the first 5 truly albino Psilocybe Cubensis species to be isolated, and distributed on a large scale. Jik Fibs isolated these albino genetics and releases the variant we now know as “TAT” through social media groups. There is now a Facebook community dedicated to the True Albino Teacher genetic lineage. There is detailed tracking of the near 50 sub variants with direct lineage to Psilocybe Cubensis True Albino Teacher.

The creation of the Albino Penis Envy variety was recorded on the Shroomery website too by Workman himself.  And The original post written by Workman: “PF Albino and Penis Envy Cross Breeding (updated 6-5-06 with F3 picture)  This experiment is ongoing.

PF Albino crossed with Penis Envy = F1 generation. No albino or Penis shaped caps expected at this stage. The next step (in progress) is to self (normal multispore culture) the F1 spores to see if any recessive traits can be revealed. What’s more The F2 generation is where the real action is.

Interestingly, the F1 culture seems to be showing hybrid vigor with very aggressive mycelium growth and fast mushroom growth.

 Method: First I germinated a single PF Albino spore on malt agar to produce a monokaryotic culture. Dikaryotic cultures form clamp connections that are easily visible when magnified and this culture lacked these distictive clamps.

Psilocybe PF Albino spore fruit appeared in a grow of PF Classic from Myco Clay (StrictlySpores) and was stabilized for 16 generations before release. What’s more It was released to the general public in 2021 after over a year of stabilization. 

 PF Albino was notably one of the most important varieties in tge history of Psilocybe Cubensis domestication. It played a big role in the creation of the  Albino Penis Envy creation. It was lost for over a decade until this recent discovery.

This psilocybe PF Albino spore variant is not a part of the same lineage as the original PF Albino that was responsible for Albino Penis Envy. This PF Albino fiest appeared in early 2021.

Alf purchased the entire remaining stock of Spore Swabs Combo Pack the Homestead Book Company before they officially dissolved the company in 2016.

History

Equally important Rich Gee is the first person who isolated/created Penis Envy and introduced it to the public in the late 1970’s. Penis Envy’s first appeared in a 1977 book written by Jule Stevens & Rich Gee titled “How To Grow & Identify Psilocybin Mushrooms”.

Michael Montgomery and Alf own two of the very few known copies of the original book. In the back of the book, on their product page, there are 4 varieties of psilocybe cubensis listed. Spore Swabs Combo Pack. One variety specifically bore the name “#1 Mutation – Strongest”. The other three did not describe the potency with any distinction. Rich Gee had also written another book titled “Cubensis Aquarium Garden“.

This book has proven to be impossible to obtain a physical copy of at the time of this writing in 2022; however, John Allen does own one copy that Hamilton Morris has held & viewed. The cover shows what appears to be an early penis envy grow in a glass aquarium. On top of the fact that Rich Gee gave an Interview where he names Homestead Book Company as his competitor, Homestead Book Company sold.
